They say March Madness is responsible for a significant lack of productivity among the general workforce.

We even had an employee take yesterday and today off as vacation to watch the games?

Any impact on your workplace?

You'll have to log into Facebook to read about my bracket... I don't use that kind of language in the Forum. In fact, I don't use that kind of language on Facebook often... I usually reserve Twitter for that sort of !&%$# talk.

I'm in 13th place in my group (by bracket is so wittily named, "Hoops, I did it again"), and this weekend's games did NOTHING to help me! ::angryface::

We haven't noticed any real problems at work, but then again, it's still early in the tourney...

Sharon, last year my better half was the only female to turn in a March Maddness sheet from her co-workers. Of course - her sheet won. The college president made a presentation to her at the first Cabinet meeting following the playoffs. She commented to me that she noticed when the sign up sheets went around this year they were addressed to only the male members on the Cabinet...

So, she was omitted from the distribution list this year because she was so good at it last year?

March Madness is a celebration of basketball:
-displaying knowledge of basketball
-betting on basketball
-watching basketball
-creating "brackets" of basketball games
-finding affirmation through basketball
-Using words like "Jimmer" and "guardplay"

Its also time away (emotionally if not physically) from the rest of your family.

Yep.... it was all done in good fun. Basically the men wanted to have a chance to win this year.
