Perfect Attendance Award

Every year we give out small awards to employees who have achieved perfect attendance during the year. If an employee has perfect attendance except for FMLA leave are we obligated to give them a perfect attendance award?

The current 'legal' answer is no. However, be careful. Make sure your policies and any awards given historically have not set you up so that you are still forced to do so.
