Which Holiday Character Do You Most Resemble?

Just updated my Netflix queue so that all my favorite holiday movies were at the top. Got me to thinking about what holiday character I most resemble. Considering that by December it usually looks like Santa's workshop and bakery has exploded in my house and the fact that I'm shorter than most adults, I would probably most resemble an elf.

I try for Martha Stewart and end up like Clark Griswald.

In appearance I mostly resemble Rudolph, except my legs aren't so skinny. My nose, however, would give him a run for his money.

I'l love to be able to say Martha Stewart, but unfortunately, that isn't true. I've certainly had my share of Clark Griswold moments, and while I'd rather not admit to it, I've had the occasional Scrooge-y or Grinch-y moment, too.

The character I most identify with is Ralphie from A Christmas Story. The dad in that story reminds me of my dad, and their house reminds me of the house I grew up in (albeit a couple of decades later than when the movie takes place). Their Christmas tree and even one candy dish in the movie look exactly like my childhood! I also remember longing for gifts I knew I would never get, although being a girl they ran more to Barbies (my mom wouldn't allow me to play with them) than BB guns!

This is about characters, Paul.

Paul is a character. Another character that isn't in the list but is one I often find myself channeling in the last week or two before Christmas is Charlie Brown. I go to a church that has a Lessons and Carols service and one of my favorite parts is when we get to the reading from Luke that Linus quotes in the Charlie Brown special. Everyone seems to take a deep breath and feel a little better after that.

Definitely Ralphie!
My family has actually eaten at a Chinese place for Christmas dinner. My mom was always annoyingly right in her predictions of bad ends to ill advised gift wishes (I never shot my eye out, though).
Unlike Ralphie, I would love it if someone would make me pink bunny pjs.

Guess I have to be Scrooge this year. We have terminated 2 employees this morning, with one more to be done this afternoon. No lay-off, just performance issues.:(
