We are entertaining going to the process of maintaining electronic personnel files stored with an outside vendor's system. This will include I-9 forms, tax forms, employment application, etc.
Has anyone experience with this process? Would an outside agency such as the EEOC accept electronic versions of required forms maintained in a personnel file when requested for litigation?
