missed time - FMLA or not?

Yesterday I returned an incomplete certification to an employee requesting more information from her doctor. She just came down to tell me she is leaving early for lunch (1 hour) to take the forms to the doctor since he will be leaving at noon and will not be back for two weeks.

Would you allow the hour as FMLA? I don't think it would count as FMLA since all she's doing is running paper and not taking care of her child. Thanks.

I would not count it as FMLA. Why can't she fax the paperwork?

Thanks for your reply. It could have been faxed but she chose to leave early. I don't ask questions anymore. I'm so tired of the FMLA abuse I could spit! Caseworkers tell people they're working too many hours to qualify for their welfare entitlements so more FMLA is taken. I give up!
