Unemployment Benefits

Is there a notice of unemployment benefits that I am required to provide to an employee upon termination?
I still learning HR, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome tdanneberger! This site really helped me learn HR when I was new to the field in 2001. Keep checking back and you will be amazed at what you can learn, and how quickly.

I am sorry; I have no knowledge of Illinois laws. If no one answers you fairly quickly, I suggest you check with your state Department of Labor.

Welcome to the forum, tdanneberger! Frank is right - your state labor law posters fulfill this obligation for you.

IL is a great state to start out in for HR - not too many laws out of the norm when it comes to employment. Start familiarizing yourself with IDOL (Illinois Department of Labor). They have a great website that will give you a lot of the info you need to start out in this field.
