Cross Training Language
Library HR

I am updating job descriptions here at the Library. My director would like me to include some general language about employees being cross trained in their departments, so that when someone is out on an extended leave the work is still getting done.
I would appreciate your input on two aspects: 1) Would you place the language in the "Examples of Work Performed" or in "Necessary abilities", for example the ability to be cross trained? 2) Does anyone have language that they have used in job descriptions regarding cross training?
Thank you so much.

Maybe something like. . . "learns duties of administrative assistant (or whatever) and may provide backup? or coverage ? in that position.
Just a thought
This position will cross train with other positions as deemed necessary by management.
