retired prn????

In the past we have had employees retire and then come back to work for us. They either did PRN work as needed, or they had a slightly different job and worked one day a week.
When they termed we paid out their leave and then treated them as rehires for PRN purposes. No benefits except 401k.
We recently had another employee retire who agreed to come back as a PRN. She worked one day in May in order to get health insurance for the month. We had a retirement party on her last day.
Then she was asked to work as a PRN. Unfortunately, she returned in the same pay period as the one day she worked before retiring. Do you think I can still leave her term date as stated and pay out her leave? Or do I need to change her term date to the PRN date since it was in the same pay period?
