A bit like last week's episode of Undercover Boss, today's event seemed a tad too scripted for me. Not sure if the apology will fully get Tiger off the hook with the public. Behind the scenes, though, maybe it helps him to begin to repair his marriage, and that's never a bad thing.

Call me cynical, but I think the whole thing was an effort to hang onto his income. He's already lost two endorsement deals and a public apology will go a long way towards appeasing the rest of the companies he has endorsement deals with.
My guess is that only thing he's really sorry about is that he got caught, and in such a public fashion.
I thought the bit about thinking he was above the rules and deserved the temptations was probably a hard thing to say. There is really no way for us to determine now if he is sincere. If he is not, we know soon enough.
I also find him guilty of wasting one of the world's most powerful chick magnets on some real skanks. I mean, c'mon, Tiger - strippers and hookers? How cliche. You couldn't even leverage your fame, fortune and good looks to get a night with Jessica Simpson?
Our fearless leader Dan Oswald wrote his most recent Oswald Letter column about Tiger's apology. I particularly liked this passage:
That’s why Tiger’s carefully scripted apology really doesn’t mean much to me and shouldn’t to anyone else. He needs to regain the trust of his wife, kids, co-workers, sponsors, and others directly affected by his actions. The rest of us don’t really matter.

I didn't watch the apology. I am avoiding all things Tiger. I think he's gross. Paul, can you make that an option on the poll?
