A copy of "Management Courage: Having the Heart of A Lion" showed up in my box today. No note or inscription. It just appeared.
I opened it up and saw that Margaret Morford is the author.
I haven't read it yet but it looks very interesting. Maybe Margaret was in the area...

Tony Kessler at M. Lee Smith Publishers sent me a link to your message asking if I was in Oregon. I am currently snowed in my office in Nashville so I am not the Management Book Fairy, but it is not a bad marketing idea! That is the first book I wrote. It has been out for about three years. My second book is finished and will probably be published second quarter of this year - That should give you enough time to read the first one as it is only 96 pages and has no big words!
NaeNae55 and I have met when I was speaking at a conference. I actually know her real name!!!
NaeNae55,
Anyone who says such a nice thing about the book should have a book. I'll send you one and personalize it to you, which makes your book better than the one Paul got! Why don't you call me with your mailing address and I'll send it to you.
Hope you are both well and that I get to see you sometime in my travels!

Other than that, I liked it very much.

Frank, you are such a suck up.
In all seriousness, this looks like a great book if only because you use the phrase "soul-sucking" in one of your chapter headings.
I went ahead and personalized my book with what I think Margaret would have written if she had the chance.
Dear Paul,
You are my inspiration. Everything I know about leadership I learned from your posts on HR HERO.

Paul: you dork.
PLUS, my copy is autographed to me. Na-na-na-na-na. ::pb&J::
Also, this seems like the perfect opportunity to remind all of you out there, if there is an HR related book you want to read, contact me and I'll have it sent to you -- provided you don't mind writing a short review for your fellow HR practitioners.
Send me a PM if you are interested. Celeste
On another note, I attended a webinar yesterday, and the gentlemen who presented referred to himself as a "Recovering HR Director." I must say I was a little miffed, as though "HR Director" was on the same level as "Addict," or "Alcoholic." Wait....then again....

She reviewed Gung Ho! Turn On the People in Any Organization by Ken Blanchard and Sheldon Bowles, and I think she did a great job of describing the book and was very diplomatic in her final analysis.
