Extended paid leave for key executives

We would like to identify key executives who would be eligible for paid time during an extended medical illness. We currently offer 12 weeks of paid leave for medical reasons to all exempt employees. We would like to offer more than 12 weeks to our key executives. Are we going to run into problems if we do this?

In most organizations, I think there's an assumption that benefits will be better for senior management. In fact, most people generally assume (and accept) the gap is much wider than it actually is.
I think MJD's organization might have an easier time of it, due to the extremely generous leave policy already in place.
