At least it was a little stronger than the other poll I could have posted . . . the Brett Favre poll ("should he stay or should he go?"), don't you think? tk
Since the Pittsburgh Steelers(fan for 20+ years) are not in the Super Bowl this year , I am cheering for the team that wins me the most money in the pools I have entered.
As a kid I was a Jonny U fan (Baltimore Colts) - so I tend to root for the Colts - but - the Ain'ts or Saints have never been to the Super bowl so that would be good too.... We don't really have a horse in this race so we will not be watching the game. Just hope it is a good game and not a blow out on one side.
Speaking of Brett Favre, John Phillips has written an interesting blog entry today on why you shouldn't allow an employee to determine exclusively how a succession plan is set up and when it will (or won't) be implemented. If you were the Vikings, you'd probably feel like this . . . :-/
TK: do you really want to recomment JP's blog today? Seriously?
Any succession plan has to be flexible (and much better communicated than NBC does). I can't imagine how morale would slip if every employee knew that when we decide they have given us their best they are out of here. It even won't matter if we decide they still have plenty to give, because, after all, we already decided that someone else should take their place and they are waiting in the wings. And if they have a contract that is renewable by both of us, well, that's just too bad. Puh - leeezze!
Now that I have let my hormones take over, can someone explain JP's blog to me if I misunderstood somewhere?

It would appear by the limited response you have had to the poll, that most HR folks, don't care who wins.
Thanks for the tip, Paul. I'll place my bets now!::pb&J::
