I have reason to celebrate. We are now expecting grandchild #11.
One of our daughters has been trying for 7 years to get pregnant and finally succeeded. She was approaching 30 when she began trying, and already had 2 children. They are now 19 and 15, and she has one grandchild and one on the way (due next month). So, her youngest will be younger than the children of her oldest. The spread is 20 years. That is a lot!
Her husband is an only child and the only grandchild on both sides. This is a really great thing (and weird too...lol). We are all so thrilled. I couldn't wait to share the news.
She is due March 22. I hope you all will keep her and the baby in your thoughts and prayers.

I come from a family with a spread of 22 years between the oldest and youngest...my two younger sisters were born the same years as my two oldest nephews, so they were both already aunts by the time they were born.
Congratulations! You are truly blessed.
I'm so jealous. My one and only child is 25 and in no hurry to get married, become a mom, anything -- and I have a bad case of grand ma envy.

I just received an ecard from my 5 yr old granddaughter from some kind of "playhouse" with the words Ooh, Aah, and You. I didn't open it and was wondering why the spam filter here at work didn't catch it. I was afraid it was some kind of porn! Until I saw my granddaughter's name, Ulani. Not too many little hawaiian girls with that name so I knew it was safe to open. Gave my daughter and I a good laugh!
