Domino's Pizza Incident - disturbing

If you haven't heard about this, Domino's Pizza would be very happy about that. Two of their employees from a Domino's Pizza in North Carolina were posting videos of themselves doing disgusting things to food that was alledgedly served to customers (sneezing on food, sticking cheese up their nose before putting it on the pizza, etc).
This was a huge PR disaster for Domino's. They responded to the incident within 48 hours but by then the videos had been viewed over one million times.
The two employees were both fired. The woman in the video was apparently a registered sex offender. The man putting his boogers in the pizza was her boyfriend. They are both being charged with contaminating food.
This incident is causing me to review our policies on social networking and online postings. If you haven't already, you might want to create Google and Twitter alerts that can notify you if anyone has posted something with your organization's name in it.
I wont post links here but if you want to know more just look up "Domino's fires employees" on Google or Youtube.

Sadly, these kinds of incidents are becoming more common. There was a recent video posted of a Burger King employee bathing in the sink.
Your average cell phone can record and post video now. Its not difficult for an employee to record and post a video without your knowledge.
For once I am glad that the average age of my employees is 56. Not that I love being behind the 8 ball on technology but there is something to be said about the more mature work force. It will be scary for me in a few years but right now ... I am glad it is where it is.
