Artichoke Hearts stuffed with crabmeat

My husband and I spent the weekend at Somers Point, New Jersey. Every year about this same time we go to the shore for a long weekend. Crowds are gone and the weather is still nice.

Anyway, we ALWAYS go to the Crab Trap for dinner at least once over the weekend. The food is always excellent and the seafood fresh. This time, the menu included a special appetizer -- artichoke hearts stuffed with crabmeat and a light sauce of some sort drizzled over the top. It was AWESOME! My mouth is drooling as I write this......every bite was a succulent morsel of pure heaven!

There have only been two times in my entire life I have ever, ever come across such a delight that I had to comment on it. This is one of those times. The other was a calamari dish I had in Shaker Heights Ohio.

Anyway, if anyone ever gets over to Ocean City, NJ and wants to take a stop at the Crab Trap, try this appetizer -- you can't go wrong!
