Breakfast for supper
Last night I made this from scratch and wow was it good.
Needed items:
2-large green bell peppers (garden fresh)
1-large red onion
olive oil
thin sliced turkey breast
mild cheddar cheese
12 large farm fresh eggs
cast iron skillet
Heat skillet to medium and warm the oil. Finely chop the onion, bell peppers and turkey breast. Add the chopped onion and bell peppers to the skillet and cook until soft. Once this is complete turn up the heat and add beaten eggs and chopped turkey breast. After cooking for approx. five minutes the mixture should be able to turn over, similar to an omelet. Once it is turned over cover with cheese (grated), put lid on skillet and turn off the heat and remove. In a few minutes the cheese will be melted and you can cut to desired portions and serve with your favorite hot sauce.

I wish my husband liked eggs...! I'll have to make it for the girls when he's not home )
My family loved it!
Huh, hamhock? I thought you strung them between tree's and layed back with a cold one? You can cook with them suckers? I have so made cornbread, you open the box throw in some water and PRESTO, cornbread.
a yankee;;)
My cornbread recipe (very yummy) was handed down from my Nanny to me (mom didn't bake much so she didn't trust her with it).
Of course, now that I live South of the Mason-Dixon line I make the real thing, like Scorpio's.
