Beef Stew w/ Cognac

1. Take sirloin tips, toss in flour with salt & pepper.
(take a sip of red wine)
2. In frying pan, fry 4 pieces of bacon, remove, set aside.
(take a sip of red wine)
3. Add 1/4 cup oil, tsp garlic, heat over medium
4. Add 1 chopped onion
(take a sip of red wine)
5. Brown sirloin tips
6. Once tips are brown and onion is clear, add 1/4 cup COGNAC and 1 cup of RED COOKING WINE. Stir, cover and simmer for one hour.
(take a zip of red whine)8-}
7. Add crumbled bacon, bite size carrots, potatoes, mushrooms (whatever your preference). Stir, cover and simmer for one-two hours (depending on what you add).
(sake a tip of wed wine)
8. Check seasonings, add salt and pepper to taste (or more COGNAC).=P~
Serve with egg noodles or rice (your preference again).
