We'll be doing our usual free Community Thanksgiving Dinner. Call-ins for delivery so far this year are triple over the same time frame in previous years. Anyone who wants to come help deliver meals is welcome.

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. It still feels uncorrupted. A time of thankfulness. Given the state of the economy, I think its good to remind ourselves of what we have and what matters.

Being in banking I usually have to work the Friday after Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, my family would just go wherever without me. The Thanksgivings I spent helping at the Nursing Home where my great aunt lived were some of my favorites. Cause I actually got to Give and be Thankful for it.

There is a strong chance that I am going to be able to take the rest of the week off. Turns out, everyone signed and returned the personal accountability contract I sent out earlier in the week... the one in which they promise to attend all scheduled training, show up to work on time, take direction from their manager, and stop whining about the CEO's selection of the current Muzak station. It looks like that leaves me with absolutely nothing to do.
