I remember the Pinto rear-end explosion scare, although I am far too young to be remembering these things. There is even a brief scene about it in the Blues Brothers movie.

DMK, I had a 1978 Pinto I bought new and kept it for 3 years. Nice little car. My first car was a 67 Ford Falcon. I have clear memories of car shopping with my dad when he bought a 55 Chevy.
