Must just be you Ray. We are enjoying Spring weather today here in mid-MO, hign in the mid 60's. Most everyone is pushing it a bit in just shirt sleeves and some short sleeves. First day of great weather we have had in a while. Hint- don't start singing the Neighborhood song or it will be stuck in your head all day.
Sorry I missed the announcements although sweaters would be somewhat out of place today since we're supposed to have temperatures in the 60's. Maybe next year......
We are fine here about 20 miles north of the Missouri river. Most of the flooding is in the southern and eastern parts of the state. Eastern part is next to the Mississippi river. Although we have had so much rain that the row crop farmers are concerned about being able to get in their fields for Spring planting.
It's a beautiful day in this neighborhood, A beautiful day for a neighbor, Would you be mine? Could you be mine?
It's a neighborly day in this beautywood, A neighborly day for a beauty, Would you be mine? Could you be mine?
I have always wanted to have a neighbor just like you, I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.
So let's make the most of this beautiful day, Since we're together, we might as well say, Would you be mine? Could you be mine? Won't you be my neighbor?
Won't you please, Won't you please, Please won't you be my neighbor?
Ha! You can't fool me! That was just a dastardly trick to get us to look at the lyrics a 2nd time. Oh no! I just realized that I did look and that I was fooled. Soap it!
Unfortunately, I already knew those lyrics by heart from being a stay-at-home mom for eight loooooong years between 1974 and 1982. Don't get me wrong, I loved raising my kids and was glad I could stay home for that long to do it, but things like those song lyrics and entirely too much familiarity with every little ditty from Sesame Street made me so happy to get back out into the adult world again.
Thank goodness Barney the Dinosaur didn't exist back then, I'd probably still have a serious twitch from that many years of being exposed to that show!
