Its hard to believe that ANYBODY would come to his church. Sadly, there is a demographic that appreciates a good old, hard line, angry, self-righteous sermon delivered without grace or compassion.
I did read later that that pastor apologized for his remarks after five of the boys in the 4th grade Sunday School class were caught peeing on cars in the parking lot.
Catholic schools are said by some to be the best in the nation. Does she enjoy it? Are you pleased with the education she is getting? And why did you choose a Catholic school?
We picked it because its probably the best school in the county. Also, she has several friends there who gave us high recommendations.
She likes the school. Dislikes mass. I remind her to be respectful. She tried to convince me mass was three hours long. Its only 45 minutes once a week.
Good grief. It p***eth me off to think that there are ignorant pastors out there who cling to the notion that God speaks King James English, and people rely upon these nincompoops to be their spiritual leaders.
I have another guess as to why you don't hear much affirmation from the congregation...if that's what his normal sermons are like, there are probably only six people in attendance.
My speakers at home don't work, so I'll try to listen to this later. I watched it in silence and here is what I saw: - lots of finger pointing and angry facial expressions - he keeps reaching toward his back pocket as if to pull something scary out of there - he frequently lifts the bible as if he were disgusted with it. - at one point he turns toward the camera, as if angry at it, but then continues on with whatever he is saying.
Two things that I noticed, unrelated to the actual sermon itself...
There are additional sermons from this same pastor available, many with names that demand that I watch them the next time I have a few minutes - like his sermon on why Billy Graham is going to hell, and his advice to primary voters.
Also, these clips were uploaded by the pastor himself - he wants the world to see him in all his glory. Ah... "Pride goeth before the fall."

Just ridiculous.

Joannie, did you know my daughter goes to Catholic school?

Curious to hear what he's actually saying.
