On the MLK thread, Q surmises whether or not Frank is taking over for Paul. Lately Frank has been posting in a Pauline style. In other words, he is sounding very much like Paul. He is starting to have that wise guy persona. So, I will assert that Frank and Paul are one and the same person. Paul is the conservative personality with the wise guy bent, and Frank is the somewhat more serious, liberal personality but with a sometimes playful bent. Paul admires Frank's ease at going pantless so takes on that personality when the mood strikes him. But, with Frank sounding more like Paul in recent days, maybe the two personalities are starting to blend or meld into one. A crossed wire, as it were. So, maybe we should just call him/them, Fraul. Or, maybe Pank.

Let's go with Pank. I would call them evil twins, but neither side is evil. Just goofy. The Goofy Twins. Hyuk, hyuk, hyuk.

You only have to go as far as the MLK thread to see the major difference between Paul and I.

I can throw a few barbs at certain latitudinally-challenged former forumites and keep it on an acceptable level.

Paul would have logged onto the "other site", thrown said barbs, then challenged that group to prove him wrong... preferably through photos. He then would have suggested an online poll to determine whether: a. his barbs were funny; b. the refuting proof was sufficient; and c. whether he should ever come back. After a few days, he would follow up by logging back onto that site to point out that the results of the poll, specifically item "c", are invalid because the poll itself was an even bigger gag... A gag he predicted beforehand that no one in that group would be smart enough to understand, and a gag that proved him right. He would then suggest an essay contest on whether he should be declared their king, and whether a certain bottle tree would have to be sacrificed an an altar in his honor.

See, guys? There's a big difference between Paul and I. I just think of this stuff... Paul actually does it!

I agree Q, Frank's last paragraph supports my assertion. He thinks aobut stuff then assumes his Paul persona and actually does it. Paul has a secret desire to go pantless, he assumes the Frank persona and does it. Pank.

If Frank and I are two "delightful sides of the same coin" to refer to the Olan Mills thread than I am definitely the one who wears the pants. Literally. Wow, we have gotten alot of mileage out of one off handed comment.

I like how Frank explained the difference between me and him. Basically, he has a little voice in his head that says "No, that probably isnt a good idea." and he listens to it. I hear that voice but its just one of many. The rest are shouting "DO IT!! GO FOR IT!!! WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG!!"

Maybe Frank is ying to m yang. Laurel to my Hardy. Penn to my Teller. Sigfried to my Roy.

From my viewpoint Ray is replacing himself because he continues to reinvent himself. The reinvigorated Ray coming back from his sabbatical is obvious!!

Paul still insists on violating the grammatical rule prohibiting ending a sentence with a preposition. Usually he runs these things by me first.

James Kilpatrick, in his Writer's Art column, says it is perfectly acceptable to end a sentence with a preposition, for effect. Paul was effectively trying to be a wiseguy, so his usage was acceptable. Me Madonna???? Did you have one too many drinks last night?
