Yesterday he signed a law forcing the auto manufacturers to hit much higher fuel economy standards with lower emissions. So, will that effectively outlaw the Corvette, or will it be emasculated so it performs on par with a Toyota?

I say, its about time. We need to get serious about renewable forms of energy too. Not that I am a tree hugger, but it just burns my hide how we get treated by OPEC.

I drive a lot of miles every day, so I am not helping things. it's nice to see that more and more vehicles are available as hybrids. I don't like the Prius, but I'd sure buy some of the smaller SUV's if they were affordable. I think they are getting that way.
