This forum is entirely too quiet this week. Some of our main posters must be on vacation or at seminars. Earlier I saw a post asking for a RIF letter. I wanted to post:

Doesn't it feel that way sometimes? However, I know I am so negative today because our happy posters are not keeping their end up by making me laugh.

Of course I've been busy hiring like crazy then today get an email saying the customer just cancelled orders. Great.

It has been remarkable so many of us having so little to say at the same time. Paul should be back from vacation and Q used that excuse when she was back to work. I kept waiting for opposing views on your "Dean" thread Ray; guess we're all rightist. And yes, it's okay to for a lefty to be a rightist.
Maybe we need to put more bait out there??

Well, Paul is celebrating his birthday today.... hey wait!!!!! Paul is having a good time and all the girls except Nae are gone.... what's up? Are the girls helping Paul celebrate? Joannie.... Q.... tell me it isn't so....

I'm here Ray. Between my AAP, and my latest FMLA retaliation/ADA/Age discrmination problem, I have had my nose to the grindstone. At the moment I think I want to have my own business with me as the only employee. With the kind of luck I've had this week, I'd probably sue myself.x:'(

Remember, Ray, I was helping host a golf tournament, not playing. I will never do that again. It was like walking around a huge buffet when you were hungry but not being allowed to taste anything.

So, am I old? 38? I am starting to feel old. Can I have a midlife crisis yet?

At this point in my life every birthday feels more like an evaluation than a celebration. I find myself revieing my state of affairs and checking off the positives and negatives.

I find more positives then negatives and I am thankful for that.

I just hope I am getting maybe a bit wiser and more mature each year.

But not too mature.

Quiet? Ha! I like quiet. No prima donnas marching into my office insisting on another raise. No high maintenace employees making their demands for recognition. No Oscar winners acting out their imaginary roles insisting on your attention and adulation. No Melvin Milktoasts crying about being bullied.

Ahhhhhhhhhh It's wonderful.

Thanks for the laugh Rita! I managed to laugh out loud and still not have anyone come to my door to see what the deal was.

BTW, I just read that starting 1/1/08 all employers in AZ will have to use the Basic Pilot Program. Is the idea as controversial there as it is here on the forum?

I signed up and started using it the beginning of July. It is a pain in my posterior.

Too much information in the tutorial that you MUST take and pass before the almighty ones will allow you to use it.
