Career Change

Hi,
Many moons ago, someone posted a question about liking HR and goals. I posted that I was going to change careers. I just obtained a Master's degree in Adult Education and have accepted a position with a College. I am so excited for a career change. There are aspects of HR that I will really miss, but I am happy to try something else.
I wasn't much of a poster here, but I did read the posts on a continous basis and will miss your expertise!

I agree that once your brain is trained to "think HR" it's hard to change it.
Also, no matter what you do in your new job, you'll still unconsciously put out that "HR vibe" and every time you enter a room, the talking will stop.
When a coworker tells a borderline offensive joke someone else will say "ooh - you can't say that, Dawn is here." And everytime someone stands on a chair to reach a high area, they'll say "I shouldn't be doing this with you around..."
Enjoy your new world!
After the past few days I've had, I'm ready to tell 'em all to go fly a kite!
Congrats on your career change. I'm envious.
Yes, but you will be back....they always come back. I left for 13 years and here I am again.
Come back now and then and tell us how it is going. We might want to jump ship too and would like to know how the water is.

I wish you all luck! My next office is actually across from the HR Director's office. How ironic!
Have a great summer!

Jut try to control your maniacal laughter as employees knock on the HR Director's office door crying...
