I can't believe the USA's crash and burn in the World Cup. They were supposed to be our best team ever, but they only scored 1 goal in three games! xx(

In their first game, they were sluggish and totally uninspired. In the second game, they made stupid mistakes. Today they were eliminated by losing to the tinee-tiny nation of Ghana.

I'll still watch the World Cup, but I can't wait until American football starts.

I think I'll stick with watching golf where the golfers self-destruct without any assistance from referees.

The Royals SWEPT THE SERIES!!!!! We are still in shock! Can it be that now that we have new management we might come back from the brink of destruction? I am sure we have swept a series before. It might even have been as recently as last year! Wow! 2 years in a row! We are HOT now. In fact, I think they might have won as many games in the last 2 weeks as they have the rest of the season! YIPEE!!!! GO Royals!!!

Our local (small town) newspaper ran in the sports section this morning that KC & Pittsburg, the two teams with the worst records in baseball played a series and KC swept the series... Proving that KC is the best of the worst.
Cardinals only lost by one run yesterday, seems almost as good as a victory after the pervious two games with the White Sox. The Cardinals and KC have a series comin' up next weekend 30th, 1st and 2nd.
