LAST EDITED ON 08-09-05 AT 08:31PM (CST)[br][br]I'm posting here since the thread in "How To Use The Forum" is not getting any hits.
I'm attending the Washington, DC event and my assistant completed my travel arrangements today. Imagine my surprise when she told me that my first night there, the room charge came to $399.
I asked if she had inquired about the "special MLS conference rate" of only $249. She stated that the hotel told her that since I was arriving on Wednesday evening, and the event did not start until Thursday morning, those rates were not applicable until then. Hmmmmmm, silly me! I am going to catch a gosh-knows-what-time flight from Nashville to Dulles (or even Reagan) and get to the hotel in time for the 8:00 a.m. registration and continetal breakfast!
Anyway, if anyone else is going let me know. If not within your budget to fork-out $399 for Wednesday night I will rent you a pull-out in my suite for $99. I'll leave the light on.

With the money Sam saves on her room, maybe she will buy your dinner.
So, Sam handles your meal tab and Margaret comps the conference and you'll rent out a pull out cot. You may even come out ahead.
This didn't sound right to me either, so I had our folks check into it.
The event starts Thursday morning, as you said, so Wednesday night should be covered at the $239 conference rate (and, of course, Thursday night). We didn't originally include Tuesday night or Friday night. But the Mayflower has graciously agreed to honor that rate for anyone already registered on those nights as well.
If your assistant actually got the full $399 rate for Wednesday, it should be changed.
Look forward to seeing you there.

They even agreed to give me a "special" rate of only $219 for Saturday night as well.
I look forward to seeing you there. You can't miss me. I will be the only wearing a denim 3-piece suit with bellbottoms and a lesuire shirt.
