Greetings from Fort Pickett. Actually, I am back already. Took my t-shirt with me. How's this for a calendar shot?

I was trying my best to look mean and intimidating! Instead, the result is goofy.

They actually allowed you to be out of uniform like that while on duty? (great shots!) Looks like a really tough assignment in the top photo: Beer in a styro-cup, pack of Nabs, color tv, power cords running everywhere indicating all the needed appliances. I think Sam should charge you with vacation!

Yes, it was one of the better working accomodations I have had during AT but we still had to sleep in tents and the first morning I was there I had to shake out my kevlar helmet really good because there was a huge spider web inside it. The next morning I opened my eyes and real close up, running on the edge of the cot was a cock roach. I started giving them all names.

Didn't mean too. I told you I was TRYING to look mean and intimidating, it didn't work.

But, let me see, you think I should have my finger in the trigger and beags thinks I should not? Hmmm.

First two things the range safety officer taught us during weapons training (and these were Army instructors, mind you): 1)Never put your finger inside the trigger guard unless you intend to fire the weapon; 2)Never check to see if your weapon is loaded by looking down the barrel (that was for the benefit of the officer trainees). x;-)

Great shots, Susan! What a way to rake in the Federal $ and get paid by the local $ too! By the way, the rule is you may never serve again during open enrollment! I think local code supercedes USERRA! It's scriptural too; somewhere in 2 Hezekiah.

It’s hard to tell by the picture but it looks like your rifle is upside down. BTW, thanks for serving our great nation and your state, I just hope you don't have to learn how to run in the sand with those boots.
