Hillary and Newt in 2008. How's that for a team? Here's a quote from the NY Times:

"Mr. Gingrich has been talking up Mrs. Clinton's presidential prospects in 2008, to the chagrin of conservative loyalists who once regarded him as a heroic figure."

The article goes on to say Hill and Newt held a joint news conference and have teamed up on health care issues and military spending.

In any sentence that includes HC, you are supposed to use the term "strange bedperson". 8-|

I probably should start a new thread, but I won't. The NYS Republicans have apparantly come with a candidate to run against Hillary. His name is Edward Cox and he is the husband of Tricia Nixon Cox. And, as an aside, Hillary worked on the impeachment proceedings against Richard Nixon. Just the thought of discussing watergate again is mindboggling.

Oh boy, hadn't heard that yet. Should be very interesting. Parts of NY have been heavily involved in the defense industry, this area included. Hillary has strongly supported the NY defense contractors and supported the recent multi-billion dollar government contract awarded to a local mfg'er. I suspect she has bought many votes in this little part of upstate NY. Cox who?

TN HR: You really made me feel old today! Re Edward Cox: I believe his nickname used to be "Fast Eddie". It had something to do with moving around so fast. Maybe he had a caffeine problem.

Hmm, the only Fast Eddie I know of is an old attorney (real name Edwin Harris) in Fayetteville, NC who can (or used to be able to) get you a not-guilty on any DUI or traffic-related charge in Cumberland County. Retainer $5K. His fees never came out less at the end. His business cards used to say "NOT GUILTY" on the back of them.
