Just about 250 away at the time of this posting.

Any guesses as to when he will hit the magic number?

I would suspect it will happen in the next couple of weeks.

You guys are missing an opportunity here. Don can be manipulated into getting to 10,000 whenever we want. All we have to do is systematically post controversial, preferably left-wing (or at least Democratic) opinions (think Jane Fonda for President), and Don will automatically sense these using his well-developed sixth sense for liberal dogma.

He will feel compelled to post, one-for-one, on any controversial point presented. The more you disagree, the more he posts and we can control when he gets to 10,000 at our leisure. x:-)

In my scientific research, I noticed that The Don posts between ten to fifteen posts per day. Some days are heavier than others, but this is about the average.

So, with 249 posts to 10,000, one could deduce that he should hit the mark in approximately twenty days. Therefore, my guess is around May 16th.

As someone that is about to break 200 posts, I am in utter awe of The Don's upcoming milestone.

That can't be right. I swear some days it seems Don post 10-15 times before I even get to work at 9 am, and yes he's 1 hour earlier but still...
Not that I'm complaining, the man knows his HR, and is quite humorous even with his primitive/ backwards social and political ideals. x:D

I think since Hunter! and I are the only ones that actually guessed a date for the monumental occasion, if either of us are right, it should be one of us....and since Hunter!'s guess has since come and gone, that would leave...ME! x:D

I think the forum acknowledgement is a grand idea. ONe could compare it to the same kind of thing companies do when EEs hit certain anniversaries.

As to Don picking up the pace, I think Aluminum boy or Steel boy may have to jump in to stir the pot. Also, Pork1 might have to contribute. DJ hasn't given his $.02 for a while and surely the resurrected Ray will horn in sometime!

And to piggyback onto Parabeagle2's theory - it takes a village.

Somehwere in all of this ideas, a chord will be struck and Don will surge quickly past the 10,000 mark to the sound of our applause and cheering.

I must admit I did not know this thread was over here. I don't know if I'm to feel flattered or insulted or just, as usual, abused. Suddenly everyone seems like PoRk, pouring hot lard over me all night long in my nightmares. PoRk used to take a twice-a-day jab at me for my number of posts back when it was only 1K. I'm thinking of joining the circus with Ray and may never see 10k. x:-)
