As unbelievable as it seems to me I am actually turning 50 tomorrow (April 22nd). x:o
My boss decided to do something special this year and gave me front row tickets to a Royals game (I know, I know, but I am a big fan anyway).
My husband decided to do something special and gave me a puppy. Hubby is 9 years older, but now I think he tried to narrow the gap. After 2 weeks with Buddy (Beagle now 16 weeks old), I think he may have succeeded.
I am to go celebrate with my children Saturday. After what their father gave me, I am half-afraid to see what they will do 'special.'
If I could I would go back 3 weeks and just tell everyone that my birth certificate is wrong and I was actually born in 56. Wait! Oh no! Then I would have to do this again next year! Ok. I'll stay 50. After all if I have to grow older, so does Buddy (and so does hubby x}> ).

because your memory isn't good enough to tell you otherwise!
This is the start of living forever - so far, so good.
Hope you enjoy your new pup. You know, Beagles are among the smartest, noblest of animals... x;-)
>that old, but I hope to be one day.
Oh com'on now :~~
Enjoy!!
PS...I'd shoot my husband if he bought me a puppy. When I turn 50 in a few years I'll have an empty nest (1/2 there already) plus a better idea of what I want to be when I grow up! x:D

We had a nice dinner at George Brett's on the Plaza after last Sunday's game. The nice thing is they like the Royals whether they win or lose. Enjoy the game! (and the puppy!)
Happy birthday, happy birthday, happy birthday to you.ou.ou.ou.ou
and many more!
50 was my absolute best birthday. I had photos taken and sent one to every one I knew. I got so many responses, like "well, you sure don't look fifty", "hope I age as well", etc.
It's just a number -- a good one to be sure.
Someone called the radio station I guess because when I got back from lunch I had a message from the afternoon guy on the most popular station here (but I am glad I was out or he would have put me on).
All this attention is good for the soul, and I appreciate all the good thoughts, wishes, and goodies people brought. I just not sure know how I will eat a bite at dinner with hubby tonight. I guess I will just have to make the sacrifice and pig-out.
Thanks again and have a good weekend.

I got some great gifts too, including a new telescope. My husband saw me ogling it last year and went back the next day. What a prince!
I have put it together, but now I need some clear skies to use it. It is absolutely HUGE!
This is by far the best birthday I ever had. It's GREAT to be 50!
