How HR spends its day

Friday night, at dinner with my husband over Chinese food, I discussed reading about Crytal Meth, Feral cats and a chocolate torte recipe similiar to one I make. He asked if HR people do any HR ? People just don't understand us.

I have noticed x:-) that Gene is a little antagonistic early in the morning but always mellows out once he gets home. I think we should have a thread investigating this phenomenon.

There's a perfectly good explanation for Don and Rita's observations. Certain things grab me the wrong way in the morning, but appear totally different at night. Don't believe me? Try this experiment for yourself:

1) Choose a well-written and thought-provoking post from a master HR practitioner who is well versed in all facets of employment law. Someone such as pUeRcO, for example.

2) After the Navajo windtalkers and hieroglyphics experts offer their best translation of said post, quickly type a response. Such response should be flippant, abrasive and poignant.

3) Get home, relax, have dinner, spend time with family, whatever relaxes you. The forum suddenly offers a whole new perspective.

I hope this explains the phenomena Don and Rita alluded to.

Gene manages to 'get himself relaxed' at home and becomes rather an agreeable, warm and fuzzy, man of repose. He has told us elsewhere that he won't take a drink, so use your imagination Ritaanz. x:-)
