A Chinese friend called me Christmas Eve and said he and his wife felt like playing Weeweechu and wanted to know if they could come over to my house and do it. I was astonished they would want to do that right in front of me! But, I told them to come ahead, if that's what they wanted. And, I warned them I have nosey neighbors. They did it.

What really amazes me is that they could have done it in the privacy of their own home, but had some twisted desire to do it over here at my place!

Sorry Don, (and everyone else too) I thought your post was an invitation to guess answers like so many of the riddle posts! Besides, it was getting near the end of the year and I hadn't used up my one 'smart' day allocation for the year yet. We have a chinese fella in one of our service clubs - has been here 30 years - and we regularly make fun of his continued inability to speak english, and as soon as I read your post it just sounded like Rhee Ring Rieu singing Christmas carols at the meeting. We may be politically incorrect too, but Lee doesn't seem to mind. If I had to bet on it, I'd say he continues to butcher the language because it gets him lots of attention, not because he can't speak it better - he does hold a Phd.

Sorry. Let's change that to 'Two little bitty children', children of no particular nationality or religion or politic, actually mixed race, a boy and a girl, one handicapped, one red head, one with monster locks, one chubby and the other one skinny, one with two parents and the other from a single gay-parent home.

The real punch line was supposed to be "WeeWeeChu a Mewwy Cwistmus and a haaaaapy New Year".

Happy New Year anyhow -- it has been great participating in the forum during 2004 -- and you make it a lot of fun.

'Monster Locks' are just the big, fun, fuzzy, extra beautiful ones that I admire more than the little knotty, frizzled ones. 'Monster' in this context is actually to be admired and appreciated and that which takes on special meaning, and..........oh hell, I can't win.

Somehow I don't think "monster locks," in Don's context, is synonymous with "dredlocks."

But then maybe I'm just splitting hairs. x;-)
