Democrat, Michigan. What's up with this guy and those glasses perched on the end of his nose. I watched him today on the liberal Stephanopolous' show and he sat there for 45 minutes looking over those glasses on the end of his nose. It might be understandable if he had reading material in front of him, but he had nothing in his hands and nothing on the table. Is this a Benjamin Franklin complex or what? It's a total distraction to what might possibly be an otherwise intelligent senator, but I cannot get past the stupidity of the glasses so he can have no credibility with me. It's similar to an otherwise intelligent individual wearing a propellor-beanie and wanting us to think of him as credible. Other than that, the Saints are losing to Denver but I've got my fingers crossed. And my boy Eli Manning will be starting for NY in about an hour.

Maybe those specs offer him security, sort of like people who wear sunglasses all the time. It creates a diversion and people can't really look into your eyes. But then, if he has to do that, who would trust him. Or maybe it's a thing to emulate Ben Franklin. Who knows.

Security blanket? More like he's worn them that way for so many decades that a perminent ridge has formed on his face x;-)

Intelligent he may be, but he camos it with more than the ridiculous glasses. He is an elitist of the first magnitude.He may be from Mi but my senator he ain't!
