Redskins and the election

It was reported on CBS this morning that since 1936, if the Redskins win their last home game before the election the incumbent wins. If they they lose, they incumbent loses. They have a home game on Sunday.
Wonder who finds these weird statistics.

Now I'm really experiencing cognitive dissonance. I'm a big Giants fan. If the Redskins lose that helps the Giants and Kerry, if they win that hurts the Giants but helps Bush. Now I have to decide what is more important, that Bush wins the election or the Giants are better positioned in the standings.

I'm offended by both teams' names. One puts down Indians and the other puts down little people. And little Indians have it coming at them from both directions. Shameful!

OK I'll go for it. (being politically uncorrect) To me, there is nothing more derogatory in "Redskins" than "Packers", "Steelers" "Sooners" "Patriots" "Jets" (aren't they naming themselves after a street gang?)"Cowboys"

Those are essentially other words for humans!

If it is ok to be a Sooner, then it should be ok to be an Indian or Redskin?

I have never understood the objections to Indians as mascots.

I heard this statistic also, about EIGHT times during the game! Didn't know who to route for, the Packers or Bush.

The Packers won, (whew!), but unfortunately if the stats are true, Kerry will now win. I better vote for Bush twice on Tuesday, just to help as much as possible. Can't have Scary Kerry getting in there.
