Whoever bought the ring should get it. If it is an heirloom, it should go to whomever's side of the family from which it came.

She's being a spoiled brat. An heirloom should stay in the family from which it came. I don't know what TX law says but common decency says she should return the ring.

Because it is an heirloom, she should give it back. Otherwise I think that even though the men generally buy the ring, the women should be able to keep it because it is a gift.

I believe I heard she returned the ring to him. Apparently, it was a family heirloom 10 carat diamond he put in a ring setting for Nicki.

If I were him I would not have given her such an item until their 10th anniversary. 1 Carat for each year of marriage.

In answer to your question, don't know about the law but WHO CARES who keeps the ring. Anyone stupid enough to give a ring of that size should be horse whipped. Wouldn't this be part of the adjudication process?

Common decency would dictate that you give something like this back to the giver.
