I had a crazy week last week, system testing gone awry (and many fights with IT), dangerous Big Dig pedestrian detours, family fiascos. There were a few days when I wanted a martini big enough to swim in by 9:30 AM.
Yesterday I went horseback riding - I pulled on my new cowboy boots, took a nice drive out to Acton Mass, saw lovely fall foliage, and took a great hour long trail ride on a great horse named Candy.
Sometimes it is so hard to leave the city and put everything aside for a while but I'll tell ya, it was fantastic. I feel like a million bucks. Being on that horse calmed me down, and riding along a colorful trail reminded me that my troubles are such a small part of this big, beautiful world.

Isn't baloney one of those pureed ground-up fake foods in the Slim Jim family?
