Don't have a Hummer - have a Buick and an old Ford. Park Avenue seems to be heavy enough for the cattle, but the Ford is lighter and we use it for 'possum, squirrel and rabbit. Surely y'all have heard of Roadkill Burgoo?
We rasied beef cattle (part-time) for 10 years and full-time for 5 years. With the price of beef at the market that road kill idea is not half bad. By the way, I do drive a Hummer; may have to check into that cattle catcher on the front bumper. Dutch2
Well Zen, in Mi you can take your road kill as well. My wife bagged a deer a couple years ago (to the tune of $2800 to her car) and almost before she came to a stop some guy was at the window asking if she wanted it or coud he have it. He stripped and gutted and put it in his car. Parents of a friend of ours routinely stop for road kill (coon, possum etc) and claim they can tell how fresh it is and if acceptable they take it home. Our friend's wife refuses to eat at their house for fear of what she may be eating. A while ago he said his dad found a 30 inch steel head along side the road. Go figure! It gives us great laughs though.
Is this the proper place to post that you will never see stray cats within 100 yards of a hot tamale place or most oriental restaurants? If not, I won't.
