SIGH! You're all wrong. Since I am a HS Basketball referee I was wearing my black Nike's.
And Beagle, even though I am a fan of Ronald Reagan, I have never and probably will never own a brown suit. I have a black suit and a blue suit and that is it.
More fodder for the forum, the shoes are Florsheims, the suit was tailored after I bought it, the tie is 100% silk.
Slogan, you can maintain your suit is black, blue, or chartreuse until you're blue in the face (no pun intended). Leslie and Ray will give you an argument about it. TRUST ME! I've already suffered so you don't have to. x;-)
Well now you've done it Ray. You just had to put that statement out there. Just as I thought I was getting a handle on the fashion issue, now you insert the integrity issue. Of course I wouldn't lie to you!
Beagle, the operative word is "conservative". Nixon was considered a "moderate" thus the root of his problems.
Thus as an "honest conservative Republican", it was a black suit with matching tie and shoes. But no one has asked the ultimate question. "What color socks was I wearing". I expect smoll, leslie and others will pick up on this one.
I won’t ask about the socks, Sam where are you, nor will I inquire about boxers or briefs, I do want to know the color of your belt or suspenders, and, real or fake leather.
BTW, great picture and welcome to the picture post club! Leslie, another one for the calendar.
Depends...NOT (borrowed from Bob Dole). Man I feel like I'm being put through the Fashion Police line up!! It was a belt, black, with stitching and buckle in Southwestern style. Any more questions??
"It was a belt, black, with stitching and buckle in Southwestern style. Any more questions?? "
Yes, thank you for asking! I am wondering if the buckle had an elephant on it? Also, what exactly is "southwestern style" is it a type of egg or drink, or possibly a hamburger??x:-/ scorpio

Safety, I was being gracious; curious about the socks but wasn't going to put slogan through another fashion ordeal. Some men match their socks with the shirt, others with the pants. The shirt thing does not 'work the style' especially if the shirt is white. Always match the socks with the pants. I'm assuming slogan was wearing black socks - with elephants? hmm.
Southwest Style= Native American symbols stitched into the belt. The Buckle done the same way. However, at the convention they did have belt buckles with elephants on them. I admit, I was tempted.
As to the socks, yes they were black, no elephants. Yes I do have argyle socks but no argyle shoes or pants.
The shirt, I did have a light blue shirt and Rush Limbaugh tie that would have brought it all together, but I utilized that on another night with my blue suit.
Ugh, this can be so exhausting. I'm glad I'm not a woman worrying about all this fashion stuff. Just give me my blue jeans and a pull over and I'm happy. x:D
Slogan, maybe next time you're going somewhere important, you could SAVE ALL OF US SOME TIME and just consult the Forumite Fashion Council about what you should wear.

I'm sure Slogan wouldn't - but can you way Richard Nixon? x;-)

Touche!
Nicely, done, Slogan. I stand in awe.

The guy who wrote the book Dress for Success says that socks should only be matched to the pants or the shoes.
Does that mean that argyle socks should only be worn with either argyle shoes or pants? x:-/
Now you guys need to deal with the color of Slogan's suit and I'm outta here. x;-)

Personally I don't have a lot of time on my hands today, but this is preferable to drafting my response to an EEOC complaint...
You're forgetting my impeccable sense of style, too. I think I'm wearing my polyester leisure suit in the photo.
x;-)
Actually, I was flummoxed - since the term "council" implies more than one person, I thought "who" was more appropriate, so I took a stab.
And not Harvard, Sam - Yale, thankyouverymuch!
