Sturgis SD 2004

So this is where I spent my vacation last week - site of one of the biggest motorcycle rallys around. It was a lot of fun and crazy stuff.
In the streets of town, they have really put an end to the flashing of anatomy parts, but it's amazing how inventive people can be when they want to show them off anyway.
There's a major bar in Sturgis called the Full Throttle - it's huge and only open during the weeks of the rally. They are a lot more lax with their coverage rules. And do you know what I learned? That paint is considered coverage. Blue seemed to be particularly popular.
Saw some beautiful country, from the Badlands, to Mount Rushmore, to the Black Hills - and of course the crazy streets of Sturgis.

Let's see the pictures!
You oughta come to Little Sturgis. Sturgis, MS. Hint: The safest place in the county to spend three nights on the ground is the cemetery. It ain't the dead folks ya' gotta worry about!
>will...oh well.
I'm sure Dandy Don will gladly offer you a ride on his hog next time he goes.
Seriously, though, it's one of those things you have to do at least once. I did Daytona on a crotch rocket (when I was barely out of my teens and thought they were the coolest thing) and am holding off on Sturgis for my mid-life crisis when I can afford a "real" chopper (like one of Indian Larry's springers).
