AA/EEO plan done, plant wage package and presentation complete, I'm outta here for a week of vacation. Not doing anything special, with the exception of a two day/night camping trip with my 16yo son that he doesn't know about yet. Then it's work in the garden and around the house the rest of the week. Too bad it's so far to Cannon Beach, OR because that's where I'd love to be right now. OK, Telluride Colorado would be nice also but way too expensive for my HR wage.

You deserve your rest. Why not drive to Cimarron and visit the Santa Fe Trail river crossing in the park. 35 minutes away and something you will remember for hours! Watch out for the stop light, it changes every minute or so when it is working properly.

marc, in a previous job I was able to spend a lot of time on private land where the Santa Fe Trail Cimarron crossing was. The individual who owns the land is a neat person but is very cautious with whom he shares the 'secrets' of the crossing. I'll probably just end up at Scott Park for two days or the Cimarron grasslands park, either is OK with me.

Hey Safety, here's an idea for you and inexpensive too. Go to [url]www.skihuts.com[/url] and you can rent a cabin on top of Red Mountain Pass. The only thing you have to supply is your food. Red Mountain Pass is about 35-45 minutes from Telluride. I know this from first hand experience because I have rented a cabin up there twice and took a few days last week to stay up there. Then this last weekend took some relatives on the loop around Telluride, Ouray, Silverton, Durango. This is my neck of the woods. Feel free to contact me if you need some more info.
