Good grief, ladies - the last time I wore a size 2 or 4 was when I was a toddler! I come from that sturdy, northern European stock - my grandmother and her 10 sisters worked a dairy farm in Wisconsin while they were growing up. Most of them were about as broad as they were tall.
At 5'5", I'm much taller than any of them were, but at the doctor yesterday, I discovered that I'd need to put on an extra nine inches in order to get my BMI into the low risk zone.
