Cloud Nine

As we prepare to move into our new building, the local Chamber has already planned our open house. I would like to be able to give an H.R. related gift to the attendees, but can't seem to find a clever but inexpensive item that says "HUMAN RESOURCES." Hospitals have it easy cause they can give away a pen that looks like a needle, xx( but can anyone give me suggestions on HR related stuff?

Last year we got mouse pads that had all important HR phone numbers and websites on it - benefits(including our vendors), Staffing, EAP, Compensation, etc. I work for a very large company so we have different departments that handle each of these HR functions. Although not as inexpensive as a pen, I can't imagine the mouse pads were that pricey and the idea would work with a magnet or wallet calendar (like the bank gives away).

How about stress relief balls of some sort/shape that have your phone number or extension and say "HR - your resource for help!" or something similar.

When my wife was pregnant I accompanied her to some of her prenatal checkups. During 1 visit I read the package of the solution they used slide the fetal heart rate monitor around her stomach. After asking the doctor, he gave me the package. It was a tube with the name "HR Lubricant" on it. How appropriate for some of the less pleasant things we have to do. Unfortunately, it's not the type of humor I feel comfortable sharing with many, but what a novelty!
