I'll be at work today and Friday, but like last week, maybe I'll get to go home a little early both days.

Just posted to wish all of my fellow forumites a very Happy and safe New Year!

Thank you HS and the best to you and yours as well. We'll visit with family and friends tonight for some cards and games and good food, then head home by 11 pm. Closing this shop up at noon so everyone can get ready for whatever it is they do this evening. Just pray everyone stays safe and healthy. Happy New Year to all!

Hey HS, you have a happy New Year, too. I'm working today, but off on Friday. Looks like things should calm down after the first of the year - I met my hiring targets this week.

Good for you Ray! I know that it's been a busy end of year for you, hopefully the New Year is a little slower, but not too slow. I would rather be busy than slow anyday.

It’s supposed to be a holiday for us but customers can’t wait for our product so we’re in production all day but I’ll slip away sometime this afternoon and hit the trout pond if all fires are out here. Not doing anything special this evening with the exception of overseeing my 15yo son and his friends in our basement for a party. It will be fun as my drums are set up, his get fiddle is there and we’re ready to jam in the new-year. Well, old dad won’t spend the entire evening with the youngsters, I’ll have time to be with my wife who no doubt will be upstairs working on crosstitch or some other crafty thing like that. She’s the artist of the clan.

Happy New Year all! Like you, HS, I am working today and Friday and after four and a half days off last week, that will be an adjustment for me. Might be nice if I can skate out of here a little early. No plans for ringing in the New Year, probably just curl up with a good book and watch the snow fall (an unusual occurrence where I live).

Happy New Year! I do have Friday off so I'm looking forward to another long weekend, probably my last chance to take one for a while. We're going through major changes and time off is not in the plan for the next few months.

I'm off Friday and unlike last Friday, I have no intention of working from home.
Doing nothing special. Probably go to bed after the fireworks show (across the street in Prospect Park) finishes. Probably visit with my upstairs neighbor for a while.

Happy New Year to all. Just finished the last two evaluations and now am turning to the budget to make sure we can afford the raises we projected. Might have to squeeze them a bit, but will certainly have some money to spread around.

My wife went to Pasadena yesterday, she gets to see the Rose Bowl Parade with her uncle and aunt and a couple of cousins. I get to stay home and crank up the surround sound for a couple of movies I have not seen yet.

#1 son is going to South Lake Tahoe with his girlfriend for the night - supposed to be quite a party.

Everyone be safe and be very thoughtful about those resolutions.

Hey Marc, don't know how close you are to Las Vegas, but did my eyes decieve me last night? Watching the news they said that it got hit with the worst snowfall in five years. Did I just dream that or what? What is considered bad in Las Vegas?

I am not from Vegas, but yes they did get some snow. My understanding is that it was just a light dusting. For Vegas, that sets records. Any self-respecting state that regularly gets snow would scoff x:D at what they consider a worst snowfall. Vegas is more like LA when it comes to snow. Very rare.

If any of you fortunate people who aren't working (or, if you are at home not working why in the heck are you here?), could someone please keep me posted on the Sun Bowl? Our Oregon Ducks are facing the Minnesota Gophers in El Paso and kickoff is 11 a.m. my time - but I won't be able to see the game because I'm at WORK! Oh, well. I'll quit whining now. x:'(

Working today (hopefully not for long) and Friday. Tonight I have about 50 people coming over to the house, so my evening will be sober, hostessing, and watching out to make sure everyone stays safe. Ah well, someone has to do it! My biggest challenge will be to make sure the SO keeps the M-160s locked away!
