• I will not answer the questions and ruin the fun of other and give away my age, but the answer to #17 (Peter Pan) is Mary Martin.

I was once told that when someone talks about "the war", depending on which "the war" they mean, you can tell their age.

Now tell me how old I am.

• Well, according to your correct answers, you're in the same category as Dandy Don..."Most likely in your 40's".

I'm guessing you're not that age and you just are a little ole' fasioned? That's okay, when I first answered these questions myself, I was put into the wrong decade as well!
• LAST EDITED ON 05-15-03 AT 01:20PM (CST)[p]How about me?

You should give a time frame and then publish the age scale after the deadline!

We'd all like to pull this on our aged peers!

• oops, sorry Zanne...I meant to put yours in there yesterday...according to this, you got 17 right which means, "Are we in our 30's?"
• Hey, that's okay! You came up with the decade that I am soon leaving.
• Ouch!!!!!!

I'm going home and licking my wound! I haven't reached 40 yet!!!! I bawled the entire day I turned 30! I not old fashioned, I just have sisters that are 11 and 9 years old than I am. I grew up doing the twist and the monkey. Sam Cooke, Otis Redding and Fats Domino were always playing at my house. I grew up on 45's. Ask one of my nephews today what a 45 is and the responses will range from a number to a malt liquor!

Big Valley, Bonanza and Dark Shadows (remember that one) were the shows we watched, most were reruns but some weren't. Perry Mason was another one...Della Street was the lady! How about Peyton Place! Most of those shows ended before I was born or soon after but I can remember watching them in reruns with my family.

Ah...those were the days. What has happened to society??
• I actually stumbled across reruns of Dark Shadows on our local cable system while I was home ill awhile back. Boy, talk about a weird feeling -- I actually remembered first seeing the episode as a kid.
• HS: I think I got them all but maybe 2? I was going to conk you on the head for calling me Dandy Don. Pork knows that irritates me and I can't print what I call him in return. But, since you said I'm forty, I'll just hug your neck instead!!
• xhugs and x:* kisses to you! Didn't know that it bothered you, sorry!

Interesting tidbit, do any of you know where Dark Shadows was made? Or at least where the house is that was in the show...

I have family that doesn't live too far from there.

• Okay, for jmpmo and cthr, you're in the same category as Zanne..."Are we in our 30's"

Leslie, either you cheated x:P or you're ole' fashioned like HRGirl. There's no way that "you're probably 50+ years old" according to the number you got correct. x;-)
• I'm a closet Dark Shadows fan too............. and I believe the original house is in Connecticut somewhere. I was soooooooooooo happy when the Sci-Fi channel started reruns. I also remember most of the episodes. My sister's married last name is Collins - so she named her dog Barnabus.
• Nope, it's not Connecticut...unless someone was lying to me about it! Anyone else have a guess, or know for a fact where it is?

• No clue re the Dark Shadows location. I seem to remember it was somewhere in New England on the coast, and the name of the estate was Collinwood, but that's all I remember.

So what was my score, HS? I sent my answers via private box so I wouldn't embarass myself. x;-)
• I know them all but #7. I'm "only" 40, but somehow I'm still a child of the '50s.

I loved Dark Shadows as a kid - I used to love it when we didn't have school and I could watch it with my mom. Another show biz personality that would probably be a good measurement of generation would be Jack LaLanne. When I was in kindergarten - half days, of course - I would "work out" with my mom while Jack LaLanne was on.
