A good problem to have

Human Resources Manager

This isn't even remotely humorous, but it is bugging me, so I'm posting it here.
I will (finally) be graduating from college soon and receiving a B.A. in Management. Now, here is my question, I will be graduating Summa Cum Laude,:DD should I include this on my resume when I list my degree?

Obviously I haven't had to worry about this before on my resume, and the kind of jobs I review resumes for don't usually attract college grads, so I'm clueless.

I will follow whatever fine advice you care to offer.

I say, put it on there! Find someplace for it and let your future employers know what they are getting for their money.

I would put it on the resume. The only person who is going to brag about you is you. This also lets the prospective employer know what they are getting and just as important what they are paying for! Congratulations on your hard earned achievement. xclap

Okay, I'll play devil's advocate. I suggest you have two versions, one with the academic distinction and one without. To those employers where academic achievement is valued, it will help you stand out. To those employers who really couldn't give a flying fig, it won't mean anything (if they even know what it means to begin with).

You bet put it there. It only will move you up the stack, or at least get that second look. We hire mainly Masters or Ph.D. level, so anything that will let you stand out. And congratulations, job well done!

I was also an older student, completed my BA in Management at the age of 29 with 2 small children to boot. I know how hard you worked - by all means put it on your resume, you deserve the recognition..........congratulations!
