The Tillamook Cheese Factory is one of my favorite places to go. You can watch the cheese go from curds to the final product as it rolls down the assembly line to be cut, wrapped and boxed.
Only in Oregon would a cheese factory be one of the BIGGEST tourist attractions.
The only problem is that my wife always gets mad at me for continually asking the cheese factory employees if they ever get to cut the cheese.
Great, Paul! With that "cut the cheese" crack and "cheese-factory-as-the-biggest-tourist-attraction" remark, you've just given Don a whole TRUCKLOAD of fodder for Oregon jokes! Nice goin'. x;-)
Are you sure you're not originally from Wisconsin? Next to the Packers, cheese factories are the next hottest item! We have truck drivers from the south that buy cases of Wisconsin Cheddar and bratwursts to bring home for those summer cookouts.
Any possibility of cutting the cheesy comments? It's beginning to get my goat and make me blue. So let's do the american thing and stop milking the topic.
On the subject of cheese - my favorite commercial is from the California Cheese yahoo's or something or other. It contrasts a bedraggled looking cow in a blizzard and a fat cow in a meadow in California. The caption is "Happy cows make better cheese. Happy cows are in California". I hope that one plays in Wisconsin but you never know.
I am 6 months pregnant, and this question just...well it is NOT FAIR! Reading everyone's posts is making me hungry. And now all your favorites are mine! LOL. My ultimate snack?? Good old fashion PB&J.
I have to say Cheese and french bread. I live in San Francisco and 30 miles away from Napa. We have the greatest winery there called V.Sattui. My fiance and I go there a few times a year.
I believe I'll have some cheese and crackers as I watch KU play in the championship game this evening. Oh yea, I'll also enjoy my favorite adult beverage at the same time.

Paul
Guess I'd better duck now and wait for the Wisconsin faction to chime in.
By the way, I've lived in Wisconsin all my life and do not own a cheese hat or know anyone who does!

You mean Ovaltine? x;-)
