Need a joke?

Who doesn't need a laugh or two in these difficult times. A pastor friend of mine shared this one with me and its been cracking me up all week.

This fellow gets shipwrecked on a deserted island. 20 years later he is finally rescued. Before he joins his rescuers on the ship to return home, he asks them if he can take them on a quick tour of his little island home.

The castaway leads the captain of the ship over a small hill until they come to three crudely constructed buildings. The excited castaway points to the first one.

"That one there is my house. Isn't it wonderful? And the second one, that's my church! Ok, let's go!"

The captain of the ship exclaims, "Wait.. what about the third building there? What is that?"

The castaway scowls, "Oh..THAT place.. That's the church I USED to go to."

Bet he was on the building committee for both churches and the contributions had a double impact on his personal finances. And if he was Presbyterian, he had to buy a brand new wardrobe to impress folks at the new church when he split from the first one.
