LORENA BOBBITT'S SISTER ARRESTED

API - Clearwater, Florida

Lorena Bobbitt's sister, Luella, was arrested yeterday for an alleged attempt to perform the same act on her husband as her famous sister had done several years ago. Sources reveal the sister was not as accurate as Lorena.

She allegedly missed the target and stabbed her husband in the upper thigh causing sever muscle and tendon damage and great loss of blood. The husband is reported to be in serious, but stable condition.

Luella has been charged with one mis de wiener count.

Yikes, it's debatable whether I should respond on this particular thread.

The 20th is the due date but the doc says we are making a little progress already ... and I'm definitely ready. Little "Cole Man" (as my husband calls him) is stirring but so far I can't seem to get him riled up enough to come out and meet everyone yet. We're excited to meet him and find out just how much and in what ways our "world is about to change forever" (as everyone tells us). Wonder if wearing my HR Hero t-shirt during birth will give me some secret wonder powers to make it go well.

Christy: Just be sure to take care of all the essentials, like: Getting your FMLA paperwork in and removing all perishables from your desk drawer so they will not look like science experiments when you return.

Christy, I don't want to burst any bubbles, because I know things HAVE to be more accurate these days, but I was a month late with my first, three weeks with the second and 10 days with the third. They are now 26, 24, and 19. Had there been a fourth I may have been on time but now we'll never find out!

Speaking of which, I heard on the radio talk show coming in to work today that 'It's becoming fashionable for women to have their fathers in the delivery room rather than husbands.' I hadn't thought of that. I would be mighty honored if my daughter were to invite me, but I can't say what my response might be. I've always 'been there for her' and suppose I would be for that also, if invited, but I'll ponder it for awhile. When my two were born, I don't think husbands were allowed in the room. This will date me....I couldn't even go in the room with the mother and baby at the same time till the second day. Now I think there IS NO second day. but what do I know........I do recall that I was the first one to give my sweet baby girl a bath after she was home. That was my mother's idea. Some strange notion about bonding or something.

Christy, I said medicineHAS to be a bit more exact these days. Remember that was in 1976. They couldn't figure out why the baby wasn't coming (he was posterior) and they gave me VALIUM and knocked me right out. I don't think that's recommended medication for deliveries these days.

Thanks for taking names while I was out of the room Leslie. Parabeagle has a point; there was a time when there was a frequent correlation between father and husband. I realize that's no longer PC. Times change I reckon'.
