Learning & Development - Career Paths

Hi there,

We conduct annual performance appraisals. Along with that, we just started to provide the employees with an "Employee Career Development" form. It asks questions like:

- If you have any long-term career goals, please share them with us.

- Is there any specific position within our company that you aspire to move into?

- What experience or education do you have within this area of interest, etc.

I want to ensure that we are following up with the employees' aspirations. Many managers will take this information and run with it, but many will not.

Does anyone know of a Career Path tracking system or anything that works for their company in regard to a Learning and Development program? I'm not sure where to start.
